SUPER BATTRIAA

The Super Battriaa was designed to take the qualities of the Batt2riaa to the extreme, creating the perfect partner to even the best MC cart-ridges. The keyword to the Super Battriaa is more: More batteries, more (and separate) power supply, more headroom...more dynamics. More is more !

BATTERY POWER
Just like the Batt2riaa the Super Battriaa uses batteries because of their superiority in the areas of being noise free and their superior current capability. Super Battriaa runs on a higher voltage to reduce distortion levels even further and to provide optimum matching to an even wider range of cartridges. The battery power ensures a freedom from noise that leads to a sound quality with extraordinary natural presentation with regards to tonality and sound staging.

SEPARATE POWER SUPPLY
The most obvious difference to the Batt2riaa is having the power supply in a separate box. Removing the much increased power supply out of the box further reduces the possibility of disturbances from the mains entering the amplifying electronics. Much extra effort was put into filtering the current that only charges the batteries placed inside the box with the amplifier itself.

CURRENT AMPLIFICATION
As a MC cartridge is quite a powerful current signal source (and a weak voltage signal source) and given the  true nature of a transistor as a current amplifying device it is only obvious to take advantage of these facts. Doing so reduces distortion, noise and the sensibility of incoming "disturbances in the force" (hum or high frequency noise). Besides the obvious advantages of noise free reproduction this adaption to the nature of transistors and MC cartridges provides a full bodied tonal structure we believe to be a significant benefit to this successful combination.

WBT
It is pointless to have a great design if the connections in and out are not of the highest possible quality. The WBT Next Gen represents to us the biggest leap forward in RCA connection for the last 15 years providing a new level of performance especially when it comes to neutrality and a lack of coloring to the signal.

ADJUSTMENTS
The current amplification is highly self adjustable with regards to load impedance to MC cartridges and as such this feature is not relevant in this design. However the Super Battriaa offers gain adjustment in both the MC- and the MM stage, making up to 14 dB more gain available to the standard setting, providing versatility to match perfectly to any cartridge.
