Building on 17 years of experience with battery powered preamps the Pre NB 1.5.1 is our best pre amp ever.  Compared to earlier versions of Pre NB1, the 1.5.1 is far superior in areas like dynamics, detail, extension (low and high) and hole through. The Pre NB1.5.1 is not only the best stereo preamp we made, it also offers access to multi channel playback at it´s best: Analogue Surround. This gives you access to high definition audio (SA-CD & DVD-Audio) as well as Home Cinema at it´s best: Through a high end hi-fi system. KEEP IT SIMPLE, CLEAN AND SHORT!
The amplifier design honors the principle of simplicity using only two carefully selected transistors  per channel in a single ended / non feedback design. All components used, such as copper foil capacitors and special very low RF emitting resistors are carefully selected to keep the signal path clean and avoid coloration. The RCA-connectors on the back are widely spread on the rear panel to create the shortest possible signal path through the preamp and an input selector has been avoided in the signal path.

ANALOGUE SURROUND & VIRTUAL CENTER SPEAKER
The only access to the resolution from SA-CD and DVD-Audio is through Analogue connections and those same connections gives you access to the Cinema sound at the same time. Analogue Surround therefore is the only access to the high quality formats as well as a natural access to home cinema. Using Analogue Surround gives you one more great advantage to digital connection: As new decoding standards become available (picture or sound) you no longer have to renew both your player and your amplifier. With Analogue Surround you will only have to shift the player to gain access to new standards. Analogue Surround gives you maximum quality and maximum versatility at the same time.
Virtual Center Speaker is your access to play multi channel Audio at the highest possible quality level and, at the same time, avoid the center speaker. This path to Surround Sound saves you the trouble of redecorating your living room (and fighting with your wife) to work with a center speaker, it saves you the expenses for unwanted equipment (center speaker, power amplifier and cables) and gives you even better sound quality. Unlike it´s digital counter parts  (i.eg. Phantom Speaker) you avoid filtering and manipulation of the center signal and you maintain full control with the center signal (level & delay).

SCARY
The Pre NB 1.5.1 offers a liquid, extremely detailed and clean sound arising from the battery powered, single ended, non feedback design. The lack of signal selector and the careful selection of components on the other hand also offers cutting edge quality in the areas of dynamics and hole through. Even though extremely easy listened the Pre NB 1.5.1 also has the rare ability to allow scary music to be scary.
